Spring on Okinawa

Spring is in the air, and we went for a pleasant river walk by the "Red Bridge" just North of our home. This time of year, there are thousands of carp-shaped windsocks flying from homes and over the rivers. There is an ancient story of the strength of these fish, and they symbolize the strength for their sons, specifically. Don't worry, the girls have their own holiday a little later in the year.
