Okinawa World

In March we headed out on a "date" for Okinawa World, which is a small Japanese theme park that has a number of cultural and Okinawa-specific activities. The main attraction is large 3/4 mile cave which is full of beautiful waterfalls, stalagtites and the mighty stalagmites.
The park also has a snake museum, with a hand's on snake show (notice the large python around our necks). There is also a cobra show for the brave to watch.
One of our favorite things was the Eisa Drummer show, and I got to get up and play some drums with them during the show as a volunteer... pretty neat!

By the way, don't ask about how I got lost on the tollroad going there... the signs here make very little sense, and the English on them is less than perfect... but we finally made it there, as you can see in the pictures below.

Cheers!

It was a little overcast and threat of rain, so we had the park to ourselves. This place is probably packed out in the Summer when it's also too hot for just about anything outdoors. Rumor has it the cave gets very humid and stuffy with tens of thousands of people parading through it during the heat of the season.
