New House in Georgia

April 2009

Well, since we had to sell the house in Florida for the move to Okinaw, we might as well buy our "retirement" home in Georgia, while prices are down, and avoid just having cash in the bank while house prices rise. Makes sense, huh?

We closed on April 15th, and moved on in. Toni has set up everything great, and we've enjoyed the basement for a change. Though we both grew up with basements, we've never owned a home with one while married. It's something we've been hoping for a long time.

Toni likes the big kitchen for her restaurant quality cookin', and I like the detached five car garage for tinkering on the hot rod.

My sister, Marcie, and mom Rings popped down for a visit, too, before my departure, and we had a great time together. We even were able to go speed-boating on Lake Lanier on a beautiful day.

There are plenty of bedrooms and baths, so ya'll come by now, ya hear?
